In 2015 three local food enthusiasts got together and decided that Enfield should have a Food Festival.
"Why Enfield," you may ask? We think that the outer London borough is pretty unusual because within its boundaries the landscape changes quite dramatically, from town and the exciting diversity of urban London, into the agricultural Green Belt land, with working farms. It is this contrast that makes for a special mix of people, food and drink and so we wanted to celebrate this.
Capel Manor College's Forty Hall Farm was a natural home for the Festival. It's a working farm and a beacon of sustainable organic local food production, boasting a market garden, orchard, rare breed animals and even its own vineyard.
For our 3rd festival in 2017 we welcomed around 3,300 people and the atmosphere was buzzing! So, in continued partnership with Forty Hall Farm and The Food Gatherer and the support of a loyal team of organisers, our event is now a firm fixture in the local calendar. Come and join us August Bank Holiday 2018 as we raise a toast to good local food and drink and all who make it!
